MAN Türkiye A.Ş.

MAN  Türkiye A.Ş., was incorporated in 1966 with 1/3 of the capital being held by MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG under the title of MAN Kamyon ve Otobüs Sanayi A.Ş.(MANAŞ)  in Istanbul, and the factory facilities were placed into operation in the same year.  Truck and motor factories were opened in Ankara in 1985. MANAŞ management was acquired by MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG in 1995 and the production facilities of trucks, city buses and coaches were united at Ankara in the same year. MANAŞ, which started city bus production in Ankara in 1995 realized the production of S2000 coaches in April 1996. Motor factory was purchased in 1996. The daily production capacity was increased to 4 buses in 1997 and the shares of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG were increased to 81%. The bus production capacity was doubled in 2002 with the “8.5 Project”.  The shares held by MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG in MANAŞ reached 99.9% and the company title was changed as “MAN Türkiye A.Ş.
