MAN Purchasing – an overview
As a leading producer of commercial vehicles MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG works successfully together with suppliers of innovative and high-quality products. We want to optimise this cooperaiton in future to achieve for both sides the optimum in quality and efficiency. Central Division Purchasing Production Material
Central Purchasing Production Material is responsible to the Director Engineering and deals with all direct procurement transactions. Purchasing is divided up into specific material groups based on parts families. The Central Division Purchasing Production Material (E) is located in Munich. In this central division the purchasing strategy of the MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group and the principles and stipulations for procurement matters are laid down. Tasks and responsibilities derived from this are delegated to the decentralised purchasing departments according to fixed negotiating and award procedures.

General Purchasing
"General Purchasing” is responsible for ensuring that the plants are supplied with capital goods, services and tooling. For the companies in the MAN Group these items are obtained in superordinate projects. All plants' "General Purchasing" requirements are coordinated by the central division "General Purchasing" (WE) in Munich.
